April, you have gotten away from me. Where did you go? You seriously just flew by, faster than my favorite winged animal ever could. I guess I've been busy. I mean, my house is a mess, my magazines are piling up, my fridge is empty, my bank account is low and I'm beat. All signs I have been having a life. Fantastic!
April ruminations:
OMG! It isn't un-Godly hot yet (Is that how you spell that? I should just say it isn't a disgusting swamp here yet.)
I went to a new speed class. Compared with the antelope in this class, I'm really fucking slow.
I started contemplating getting an iPhone in all seriousness.
No tornado sirens in Dallas yet, so my blood pressure is still low.
I can't bring myself to sign up for another half or full marathon. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come because I hate yoga and the elliptical is so 2003.
Rhubarb is in season! I made delicious strawberry rhubarb jam. I eat it with a spoon.
I got back into going to small shows thanks to these guys.
I bought a ticket to see these guys. If it's not sold out where you live, I highly recommend going. If it is sold out, I highly recommend beating someone up and stealing their tickets.
I went to a backyard party that seemed to really kick off summer, complete with a pizza oven and caterers, a snow-cone machine, a crawfish table with its own caterers, a cover band, some very good looking guys, some very douchey guys, a couple eating disorders, and a hired security guard outside the gate. People watching at its finest. Love you Dallas.
And because no post is complete without a shout-out to my favorite subject, I'm wrapping up month four of braces. The teeth are straight. We're in the home stretch. Several more weeks and we're done. Honey Nut Cheerios and fattie mozza-basil-tomato sandwich on crusty sourdough, here I come.

And I will dive right into that panini as we toast the non-schvitzing and all the fun to come this spring/summer.
