After 25 years of living in and loving all of California, I did something everyone - especially those lucky enough to live in such a great state - should do. I moved to a place I never thought I'd live. Ever. Unfortunately, I failed to do what most other people who like to write would have done: write about it. Like, on a regular basis. I guess I was too busy writing amazingly witty copy about Toro Curved Shaft Trimmers (it's a grass trimmer, get your mind out of the gutter). Too bad I can't go back and re-read my many emails to friends back on the left coast about this strange country. Alas, I only have plenty of memories and unbelievable experiences behind me, and a few new phrases (y'all, fixin' to, might could) and whatever tomorrow brings (hello, sappy song title) with which to fill this space. Oh, and one of those new years resolution thingies, which in this case says "write more. for yourself."
