When You Wish Upon a Star

You better freakin' have patience, is all I'm sayin'...

It's been a week. What can I say. It's because I gave March one too many shout-outs too soon. Now its lions are being unleashed and I'm screwed.

So the ipod is being updated as we speak. The shorts have been bought and tested. The shirt has been bought (after three running stores and countless try-ons, ews, no's, who runs in these things?).

The clothes are in a pile on the bed. The confirmation email is printed. The gu, bought. The watch, charged. The miles run. And run and run and run.

The plane leaves Saturday and I am so ready to get out of town. Oh, good thing my stomach is cramping up from who knows what. Just because. You know. That'd be fun.

Also, tangent - I rarely listen to DMB, "Dave" whatever you want to call that jam band of college days, so when it occasionally shuffles its way up on my iTunes or (gasp) the radio, I sort of pause and enjoy, feeling somewhat guilty. But there is nothing wrong with Dave. The last Dave experience I had was awesome. Good people, park, city, day. That day also involved The National, a fantastic sub sandwich from a place in the outer Richmond, and a ride or two on public transportation. Oh the things that make me happy...

Also, as apparently this is a list of tangents most bloggers call "Thoughts I couldn't flesh out into full entries," I'm really getting sick and tired of the phrase "Tips and Tricks" that I see on 4 out of 5 web banners. Come. On. Can we (the copywriters of the world) think of anything else??? I'm trying, promise. Now you try. Ready, go.

Finally, since we're on the topic of creativity and also obnoxious self-involved venting, you know what? Rube Goldberg dealios - so done. Over. Them. You know what's cooler than A making B fall down and run a small midget circus freak show?

Lots of things. My red fluffy slippers. Running 26.2 miles (what?). Peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

And this guy! Yea, we've all seen him. But we've all also seen OK Go's video posted on fb, twitter and other places way too many times. No? Just me? I told you. Been a week.
